Trip Description

Sri Lanka Cultural Heart is a short and immersive route through the island’s ancient north, where the country’s oldest stories still rest in stone. In just a few days, you explore the places that shaped the island’s identity. Quiet temples carved into rock. Royal capitals long swallowed by forest. Wide lakes that reflect the sky at sunset. Life here still feels slow and rooted in tradition. This journey visits the sacred city of Anuradhapura, home to some of the oldest Buddhist monuments in the world. You climb Sigiriya, the famous rock fortress rising above the jungle. You walk through Polonnaruwa, where old temples and giant Buddha statues sit among trees and calm water.
